The Ministry's Circular No. 2016/6 on the Entry into Force of the Information System and Database on Biodiversity Research Permits aiming dissemination of electronic state services, reduction of bureaucracy and red tape in the public sector, contributing to the scientific progress of our country, facilitating and organizing scientific research on biological diversity and storing the results in a way to create public interest, was prepared for the purpose of fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising from the access of foreign researchers to domestic genetic resources and traditional knowledge related to them and the use of domestic genetic resources and traditional knowledge related to them, and the procedures and principles regarding the execution of all kinds of research permits, marking permits and ringing permits issued by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks regarding scientific research on biological diversity through the "Biodiversity Research Permits Information System and Database (ARİBS)" online; procedures and principles regarding the execution of all kinds of research permits, marking permits and ringing permits issued by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks regarding scientific research on biological diversity online through the "Biodiversity Research Permits Information System and Database (ARİBS)" have been regulated.

In this context, scientific research permit application procedures and transactions related to biodiversity, including research on invasive alien species, are carried out through ARİBS (Research Permits Information System) e-government application.
